Artwork Requirements Return to Custom Packing List Envelopes

File Format:

•   Camera ready, color separated art in the preferred option for submission
•   Accepted electronic files are any Adobe Illustrator or PDF file. Illustrator files need to include attached post script files for proper fonts on all text. PDF files should indicate the total width and height of the print.
•   Acceptable digital media includes: 44MB or 88MB SyQuest, 100MB lomega Zip and CD Rom.
•   Please include color proof or a composite laser proof along with your file.
•   Leave a 1/2" border between edge and artwork on each side
•   Send copies of files - do not send your only copy of a file.
•   Images requiring trapping or screen are subject to charges.
•   All files must be at 100% and must show orientation of print to edge of envelope and designate the open (slit back) side (on a 6x10 ple, indicate which side is the 6" and which is the 10" and write "Open End" next to the proper opening dimension ).
•   Minimum Resolution: 300 DPI (@100% artwork size)
•   Recommended Resolution: 600 DPI (@100% artwork size)
Camera Ready Artwork:

This is transparent film of each color, full size with marks on the edge indicating the alignment for multiple colors. The film can be directly reproduced to "negative" for plate etching. Where one color prints over another or abuts another, (trapping), the width of the trap area should be between 1/8"-5/32" where possible.
Color Separation:

All submissions must be color separated. We will not accept work that is not color separated
Ink Colors: We have standard mixed ink colors for orange, yellow, red, green, black, and dark blue. Specific colors to a customer's logo or design can be matched if the color has a corresponding Pantone Color Formula number. If know just indicate PMS number. There is no extra charge for a PMS color.

Borders:

•   Minimum of 1/2" on all sides of the envelope.
